Clear the land based on what you want to do next

“Land clearing” can mean different things depending on the property. You may want to open an overgrown edge, create access through brush and saplings, clear a fence line or trail, improve visibility, or prepare an area for a future project.

That’s why we start with the end goal instead of assuming every clearing job needs the same approach. Clear Path uses forestry mulching and grapple work to address suitable vegetation and on-site material handling. We’ll walk the property, talk through what you want to accomplish, and explain which parts of the project fit our services.

Some projects eventually need additional work such as grubbing, stump removal, grading, excavation, hauling, or construction preparation. Those are different phases of work, and we’ll be clear about where our scope ends so you can plan the next step with confidence.

Plan the clearing around the way you’ll use the property

The best clearing plan starts with a simple question: what do you want this area to do when we’re finished? A fence line, trail, access lane, view corridor, recreational area, maintained edge, or future building area can all require a different approach.

During the site review, we’ll identify the work boundary, vegetation to be cleared, trees or features you want to keep, access points, private utilities, septic components, drainage areas, and any places that should be avoided. If logs, limbs, rocks, or other material need to be moved on the property, we can also determine whether grapple work should be included.

If another contractor will be following us, let us know what that next phase requires. We can then make sure our portion of the project is clearly defined without creating confusion about services that are not part of our scope.

Know what will be mulched and what will be moved

Many properties need more than one kind of work. Brush, saplings, and other suitable vegetation may be best handled with the forestry mulcher, while logs, limbs, rocks, or larger material may need to be moved with the grapple.

We can review both during the same walkthrough and outline them separately in your estimate. That way, you’ll know what is being processed in place, what is being moved, where material will be placed, and whether any disposal or hauling needs to be handled separately.

Clear expectations up front make the project smoother and help avoid surprises once the equipment is on site.

Your estimate should reflect the property—not just the acreage

Two five-acre properties can require completely different amounts of work. Vegetation density, terrain, equipment access, trees you want to keep, drainage, private utilities, material handling, and the finish you want all affect the scope.

We’ll review those conditions before finalizing your estimate and confirm the work area, access route, protected features, and expected result. If hidden conditions or requested changes come up once work begins, we’ll communicate with you before moving beyond the original scope.
